Life is full of hurts and rejection that could leave us bitter. We may know or conceive the bitter drops placed in another's ears that has corrupted love.
It must be enough it has to be enough to know that we did our best. Time will bring out the truth it always does

Excellent

Rejection is hard to accept especially when it is from someone you love or loved. There is no harm in greeting a person, even if you don't like them for some reason. It is plain bad manners as you said.

Hi Bill, It was so sad reading this about the man you raised and cared for, It sounds as though there is no chance of meeting or talking to him either.
Your sad and poignant well rhymed poem says all this in perfect rhythm and flow, but that final line says the most my friend.
