Powerful. An anguished soul crying and crying through the stages of torment and then finding lasting peace through the Savior. Use your talents for His glory!

I thank you for reading and the 6th star!!)):
Comment from Gloria ....
Pierre, excellent free verse poem. I enjoy the large font take outs at the beginning of each section. the loss, the illusion of escape, the inevitable fall, the way and now.
Your faith has carried you through one of life's most difficult trials and tribulations.
Best wishes to you in the contest. This is quite exceptional.

Your poem details the stage of grief. The only way to true recovery is through faith and hope. The human heart, I believe, cannot recover from loss without them.
Your poem is very thought-provoking and a tribute to God's loving care. What started out as a tragedy became a triumph. Exceptional contest entry. Best of luck to you.
Blessings,
Linda

Very Poignant and emotional. Heartfelt sentiment. Loved the style-the breaks really caught the attention and restarted the next stanza. Great use of vocabulary and phrasing. I think you have a great chance in the contest.

a strong write indeed. One cannot comprehend how much hurt and strength is needed for persons in such situation. Truth or fiction, every emotion has been catered for here.
Best of luck in the competition.
Best wishes,

This poem is amazing in the ability to so aptly convey the devastation of a loss that one has to bear alone--for a time. As I read it, I was amazed at the highly effective descriptions of these emotions. The poem having an ending that includes a sense of hope gives it a strong balance. Without that ending, the poem would be very dark--with it, the poem allows others to empathize, or even to deal with their own feelings of loss. Well done.

You have taken the reader on quite a journey
sounds like it would be easy to fall into depression and suicide by the depths of your sorrow alone. But you managed to swim over it and not let it pull you down. well done.

These are all good readings to me. My favorite one is 'The Way'. This gives me a good mental vision of how God speaks to us. Good luck in this contest.

This is a mammoth poem about a turbulent journey. Sounds biographical though you list it as General. To lose a child can set a person on the journey you describe. You say there are wounds that will never heal - maybe, but we learn to live with them. Drugs and drink in the short term always help but in the long term they can be destructive. Your final stanza is one of victory over all the trauma. An interesting story poem and a worthy entry to the contest. Good luck and keep writing - warm regards Dorothy x
