The world is so full of needy people, it is hard to decide which is the best cause. As one person wrote in a poem yesterday, charity begins first at home. Every city has homeless people, war veterans amongst them. One has compassion but one has to start somewhere. Well-rhymed verse and important message. Faye

we live in such a loveless world and there is so much hunger and pain out there and i felt your photo really speaks of ones that are in need we should give them a deed well done

Thank you Donnette. I think we are on the same page on that.

You write amazingly well and bring out charm through it all. The picture merges well too. I love the choice of picture. Plus your poem is recognized and I am glad that it is.
My favorite lines are:
Small gift impacts one life, indeed.
Maybe more as days proceed.
For those who grieve,
And those who need,
May blossom from your deed.

So it's a inspirational poem inspired by another equally touching poem. I get it. Actually the picture says it all. Giving brings us all closer to equality.
Thank you for the inspiration.

Well done, again, Treischel, for this expression of your wonderful hearth. This is a great tribute for the many who gift silently with their life each day; and for all of us hoping for the flowering of Humanity's co-creative essence and life potential on Earth.
Your picture from yahoo is beautifully enhanced by the red background with all the symbolism of red; plus the depth of meaning in your words. I take note with interest in the poetical attributes, stars in the sky for me at present. Linked with your words radiant with your gift and the joys of sharing! Thank you!
Blessings, Maureen*&*

A very compassionate message indeed.
'Tis true that to touch the lives of just one person in need is a feat but
how wonderful to touch the lives of many.
If we all reach out in compassion and do our part good things will happen.
Well written, touching, and a great reminder to us all that to address this growing need in society we must work as one.

A beautiful inspiring poem. To give is more satisfying than to receive. When you give with a good heart even more so. Great picture.

I also admired Tab's poem and found the result of your inspiration touching as well. I enjoyed your rhymes and am sure the verse will "impact" more than just one!
Cheers and enjoy the first weekend of fall- Joan

tom,
This is lovely... quite lovely.
Teresa's poems are that way as well. ;)
I really like this, I do with I had a six to give you for it.
It would make me really happy.
That's the thing about never getting more. I think we need six of them for poetry, and six for prose... don't you?
That way, we would have more to be able to give. ;)
Hugs... this is beautiful.

The thing is that it's often not the big things/gestures that we do that make the biggest difference or that are remembered the most by people - it's often the very tiniest things - that we ourselves don't even remember doing! - that others remember and cherish and are inspired by. We never know when people are watching, are listening, and are needing something, however small from us.
Great poem!
