hello robina

I love titles
and yes
with a title such as this I had to turn the page
my purse is always empty too
I call it the cost of life
everything we purchase and need has gone up in price
the packages of items are smaller than ever
anyway.....

you leave us with a message
your formatting and layout are wonderful

thank you for sharing
best wishes to you and your purse

HI..Good try with this. A good write because it's compelling and so true of those that understand what its like to live beyond their means. I didn't quite get the logic of the character of the story though. See you in heaven, doesn't cost a dime. Hmm..question..couldn't those that spend needlessly be considered gluttons which would be subscribing to one of the seven deadly sins? Hmm. just asking, but other than this good write. Take care and cheers.

The contest was about an object. I thought first it was the purse but then you say-my husband....you turned it to be you and you are not a thing...And also the last stanza is completely dramatic and out of context of the poem. You can use that in a less dramatic way and put it in context as follows:

I'd rather die than fall. I guess heaven
See you all in Heaven, would be a great option
doesn't cost a dime. a house with no payments, no mortgage, foreclosure
that, my husband would love
but for that, God has to make the call.

Hi, Ine.

Like most men, I HATE shopping, so that saves the little money I have. :-)

I enjoyed this one, and it has a particularly nice ending.

Best wishes, Ray xx

A poem of monetary reflection. So easy to fall into the trap of wasteful expenditure. Cut that credit card before you get there!! I like the colourfull nature of the picture you choose. Well done.
Thank you for sharing your poem.

Hi,

Your poem was cute, but you wrote about many different things. It sounded like the person who wrote the prompt said to pick one thing to write about, but of course I could be wrong. Still, I enjoyed your poem.

"Great art and imagery!"
"Nice Adjective Content, too."
"Objective Content on a scale of 1-100 warrants a strong 95!"
"Good luck with this!"

Heaven is free, Jesus paid it in full. We are so lucky. Spend your heart out while you have it. Can't take it with you up there. LOL.

For me, this poem rambled a little, and I couldn't quite tell if it was supposed to rhyme or not, so it left me feeling a little confused. It's probably just me! (Sorry!)

Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest!
