In interesting observation. I believe that it's very few, but there are some who age beautifully. Betty White comes to mind. Interesting free verse.

Hi there,
A good strong little piece. The aging process is difficult for many. Some grow old "before their time". It is largely, I feel, about perception. How old do you feel rather than look. I'm lucky, I look much younger than I actually am!

Yes, I suppose this is true. Some do age before their time, especially if they live a hard life. Others use botox and surgery to look young. Age is really a condition of the mind.

Excellent job and a very nice poem for the few who uses all types of surgery to delay aging if you will. But yes, we all age sooner or later. Love the artwork and thanks for sharing the ageless poem. Blessings................Portia

Of course women age and it's quite pathetic that so many seem to deny the fact. They must be afraid or something. Well written and food for thought. Our society sadly don't allow for older people. It will change though at least in the western world as there will be more older people than young. MY motto: Old is beautiful. All best. Ulla

Hi Ine,
A lot of woman keep having work done on them, like movie stars, so they keep looking young regardless of age. I can see myself aging more and more as time goes on.

Hi Ine, yes some people do in a natural way, but many of them had help from botox or a facelift.... You are as old as you feel. Years ago I could estimate the age of people, but not anymore...Very well written, it gave me a big smile. Fia

G'day Ine. I'm ok mate but a bit down. I miss Delia and Champers and it breaks me when I see them cry on video camera. I am finding it very hard to write poetry for now. Hopefully I'll get back on the proverbial horse.
