Children are cheated out of a healthy childhoods and families robbed of the joy of watching them grow. This is a very well written post with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

A sad and harrowing chapter. The futility and helplessness in the face of the diagnosis is heartbreakingly portrayed. How must the parents feel?

Thank you for reading and commenting on my story. There are dark chapters in my book, but also happier days. I could draw upon my own family's experience as the "real" Wesley was my child.

People do react differently when confronted by a crisis in the family such as losing a dear innocent child like Wesly. Some ma cope up so easily with the trauma, but others may ne be successful in dealing with their coping mechanism. your general fiction explores that scenario and it made your story interesting. All the best.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read and comment. Whilst, as a family, we did lose the "real" Wesley, I am glad to say there is a happier ending for the Morgan family!

Vigournet--
Here's another posting of yours I have more or less stumbled upon. This is not at all what I was expecting. I don't have a clue what the overall plot here is. The description of the child's bout with cancer is heart rending. It's well done if a little "choppy" at times, meaning you make big jumps from one place to another. I don't know all the characters yet but see they seem all included in the circle of the child's illness.

Several close acquaintances of ours are suffering cancer at the moment. One, with breast cancer, is doing pretty much the traditional hospital thing. She had a terrible misdiagnosis, misreading of the original biopsy but seems now, after the Mayo Clinic, to be on the right treatment path.

The other, suffering prostate cancer has opted out of the "violent" world of cutting and poison medicines and has taken a more "natural" path. It will be interesting to see how both fare. I wish them well.

Thanks for the chapter
Wabigoon/Jeff

Thank you for reading, I appreciate your review and comments. I will look again at my choppiness.
I have also had prostate cancer and opted for brachytherapy, followed by quarterly hormone injection. My PSA reading is now negligible .

This is so sad. Cancer is very difficult. For your child to have it is even more difficult. My son was older when we lost him to cancer, but any age hurts. My husband survived stage four lymphoma. I know some of the heartache that you are writing about.
Typo 12 lines down first/fist. A little farther down: I turned my steering rapidly.
Very well done.

    Joyce,

First, thank you very much for taking the time to read my chapter. I am very sorry that you too have experienced loss. I believe that my experiences, good and bad, have enhanced my writing. Thank you for your review!

Your piece was very compelling, obviously heartfelt, and very well written. Enough clues to each character's personality were given as the story progressed so the reader could 'grow' their acquaintance with each without getting bogged down and losing track of the movement in the story.
I am sorry you have experienced this subject so intimately. It is a story that needs to be told, and you do it well, and I know it must be very hard.
My respects and best wishes for you and yours.

I enjoyed this. You did a wonderful job in this chapter of building up suspense. As the professor was inspecting it I was leaning forward and my interest grew. The dialogue was terrific and you show great patience in developing a story while keeping it interesting. That's a strong second chapter.

I like the story set up so far and how the box is linked to Jesus. It held my attention from start to finish and also liked how you mentioned Eden and the tree of life. It is definitely one I want to check back on.
