this is another cute story of jerry jing jang's. he was right smart and trussed rusty up tight, keeping hin tied up through the night. dragged that rustler off to jail so he'd have another story to tell. I enjoyed reading this. good luck in the contest. his next story should be as a cowboy poet contestant.

A real taste of the wild west. I can almost see Big John Wayne in the lead role. Good luck in the contest.

Hi Cindy. I don't think I've come across your work before. This is a cracker of a story poem. It races along in perfect rhythm and the the events of the story are so compelling that the rhyming couplets, which can be obtrusive, in this case do not get in the way in the least.

This is such an entertaining story / poem! I'm a big western fan and cow lover, so I was immediately interesting in reading your piece. I was pleasantly pleased. My heart actually started pounding faster as night crept in, I was actually scared for the characters; it was very suspenseful. The rhyming was spot on, and the ending was very relieving. Excellent!

Glad you enjoyed. Since my Jerry Jing-Jang series is mainly for the kids, JJJ always wins and nothing too awful happens.
