With a few tweaks here and there, this would have made a great entry into one of those, "all dialogue" contests or the single sided phone conversation contest.
Irregardless, I thought this was well written, comical, and genuine.

Very effective, very funny and entertaining. I was getting all ready to complain when I saw a whole page of tag-less dialogue, but was surprised I followed it with no problem. You are very good with dialogue, by the way.

"If you are still experiencing difficulty, please do not hang up." [This seemed an odd thing for her to say after her previous response.]

I agree with you about the ?. . . do not hang up.? line. I think Abigail might have feared she would lose the caller.
