Your poem has good rhyme and rhythm. It flows smoothly and describes a scene of tranquility and peace. It isn't quite like my vision of heaven, but it's close.

I journeyed on at quite a pace,
'Til I felt rain upon my face.
"What's this?" I thought, "In paradise
I'm sure there is no rain, or ice"
And as the fog began to lift
There came a realization, swift:
Now this stanza is my idea of Paradise.

Well you pretty much described how I picture heaven, right there. It's not full of drifting angels, joyfully playing trumpets while we humans loll about sipping wine and eating grapes, or cake. It's just a place free of hate, envy, lust, greed and all they other things that make us humans turn on each other. I can't wait to get to your version!
