This was beautifully done, I thought, especially for just one hundred words. I wish you the very best of luck with the contest.

Good job! I like the story line. The format is good, I love the picture of the bird. Well developed character. The lines flowed easily. I like the end although it was a little sad.

A touching story for the contest. A well written piece in only a hundred words, and the notes helped to clarify the situation. Sad to think that growing old can be such a trial. A great entry and good luck.

Excellent story and a bond with the birds. Your mom will have to have the bird feeders outside of her window. Our nursing home has live birds in a cage inside a large room. Enjoy your family time and take a lot of photos. We are created to love one another, even the birds. flylikeaneagle

Well written and expressed. Finding ways to express and say goodbye is never easy but necessary to the soul and spirit.
Always more difficult if it is a final release of a loved one or change of residence whether here on earth or to the great beyond.
You have done excellent job in revealing your loved ones anxiety and loss at have to relocate. Beautifully done. Photo an asset. All the best. Keep writing.

Hi there,
This is a very nice, but sad tale of saying goodbye.
Well written and quite emotive.
A good use of the allotted 100 words.
Nicely don and good luck

The 100 word story is emotionally surcharged. It must have been heart-breaking experience for your 94-year old mother-in -law to leave her friends behind forever.
