This is a fear that I have not had to contend with here in Maine. We are lucky in this neck of the woods. My heart goes out to those in Kentucky who have just gone through one of the worst tornadoes on record.

Thanks for the review and the five stars.
Years back my town had an earthquake tremor, I was sitting at my computer and my chair was swaying back and forth. That was scary.

Interesting topic. You might consider making it a short nonfiction atory since it reads more like a story then a poem. Very informative straightforward reporting with authors notes most helpful. Good effort

A lovely poem on nature's fury and man's helplessness despite all our so called technological advances.
"It took souls -
loved ones, neighbors and strangers, who in that moment could not save themselves or be saved."
The devastation and the pain is left behind is aptly described.
Best wishes and regards.

A timely poem for all of the devastation that just occurred in Kentucky and other states by the vicious tornados. I appreciate your notes and wanting to honor the survivors, victims, and responders.

Thank you for the review and the five stars.
I was telling someone else on FanStory, not too many years ago I was sitting at my computer and my chair started to sway back in forth. I found out later on that we had an earthquake tremor. Just imagine that, a real live experience.

Great Poem! The author's words are frightening, descriptive, clear
and creative. I agree with the author that we need to protect ourselves
and our property. I think at the first sign of warning! The poem was thought provoking. The artwork is awesome and compliments the poem.

Thanks for reviewing my work and giving me five stars.
Some years back, I remember sitting at my computer and my chair swayed back and forth.
I found out that we had, had an earthquake tremor.
You never know when something will strike you.

This revival is right on message at this time with the devastation of Mayfield hitting the headlines globally on the web, in ptint and on the UK news even. Your poem catches the feel well.

Despite the things lost to the storm, if you can hold on to your life and good frame of mind, everything can be restored. Imagine the man Job, who lost livestock, children and his health. Despite all this he remained faithful and received as much as twice what he lost. a good health frame of mind is essential to recovery.

I know, they had a minister in the news that his church was hit by the storm but they have a website where people can donate to the church, that is spiritually and it probably uplifted him a lot.
Amazon, took a lost also. In time people will rebuild or move elsewhere.
Thanks for reviewing my work and the five stars.

Art,
I'm sure you saw the horror and devastation wreaked by the tornado in Kentucky recently. My husband said the tornado was on the ground for over 250 consecutive miles! That's terrifying!
I could appreciate your words here since we also live in a heavy tornado zone. Perhaps some of it is a bit repetitive, though? Just a thought.
Thanks!

Thanks for reviewing my work and giving me five stars.
Repetition is allowed in words in phrases. I tried using it the best I could.
Back in 2013, I was sitting at my computer and my chair swayed back and forth, I found out
we had had an eathquake tremor.

Yes, we heard all about the tragic, heartbreaking devastation this travesty of nature inflicted on the six states in the US, I'm so sorry, if there was ever anything to pray about, it's this. And I have. Beautifully written my friend, an excellent job post, blessings Roy

Thank you for your review and the stars, it means a lot.
It is so sad what happened. On television this morning they announced that one of the churches
will have a call-in number for whoever wants to help can do so. That is good.

That?s excellent

Thank you for your research notes and gratitude. Your poem is quite timely--we actually had a small tornado in the Los Angeles area yesterday due to instability. Your poem has a breathless quality and describes the disaster vividly. Be safe- Joan
