Yes indeed, this is very reminiscent of her many counting poems. I'm sure she will see the humor and the cleverness in it and get a big smile. It also hardens to here teaching, i liked your thoughts. I'm sure she will too.

Har! Har! Listening to some Celtic music while reading your poem . Feel the room filled with tankards of beer and an old crusty soul stands and toasts a cheer to the fallen poets. Clever and delightful. Well stated and rhymed.

Crusty, that's me. Some old sea songs were counters, usually lewd and crude, and I liked them. Thanks a lot for reading and reviewing and most especially for all them stars.

Oh my gosh! This is a wonderful counting poem :) You make it look so easy. I do struggle with my effort, but your poem gives me hope that maybe I could pull one off? I love your happy rhythm. Your use of abcb rhyme scheme is the perfect solution. I'm going to try that. You are brilliant and I wish I had a sixer left. I used them all up this week. Some weeks I don't use any.

I had posted this before reviewers suggested it might work in your book, so I messaged Tom,who made it part of your book. How or why it became a prologue, I don't know. LOL. This is great. I like the "silliness" of it if you do not mind me saying that. You did a good job with the counting poem. I know Brooke will get a good laugh. I like the many references to things that writers do. I see no changes. Good job and thanks for sharing.

She apparently has aggressive MS, and that is quite serious. I doubt she will be able to come back. It makes me very, very sad to know she is going through this.
