Ah a sweet little bedtime story to read to the children just before bed:) Great terror story Dean. I'll have to watch for more of these. As long as I read them in the morning, I should be ok:)

Hi Dean. Wow! Blood chilling. I seem to have missed any previous tales, so I'm going looking for them. I can take the short stories without having too many nightmares!!! Love this, alf

Thanks for taking an interest in this series, Alf. There are just 14 chapters thus far, with hopefully many more to come. My book will never be Book of the Month material here, but I hope it is at the very least entertaining.
Thanks again! :) ~Dean

Definitely interesting of the macabre fascination type. I am slowly becoming more daring, influenced by a wonderful writer!!!

Heh-heh, I think the scarecrows are eating them, Gunner, LOL. I very much appreciate your review, my friend. ~Dean ;}

I think the scarecrow would be frightening enough for even this group of curious thrill seekers. The man in the field thinks so too, but what may he be hiding.

G'day Dean. Sorry I've been tardy with my reviewing mate, I've been flat out and can't keep up. This is another fantastic chapter and as always as scary as buggery. This is a great series. Cheers Fez

Creepy as always, Dean.
You know I have to admit, I have been trying to be a more active reviewer, but I have found that if I find nothing wrong with the work that I'm reading, I just move on to the next one unless I find a particularly enjoyable piece.
As such, I keep an eye out for errors on your part, and as usual I have found none.
Well written, can't wait for the next installment. :) SS

Thanks, SS, I appreciate your continued interest in this series. It may never be book of the month material here, but I hope people enjoy the tiny terror tales just the same.
Much appreciated. ~Dean

Great artwork of the scarecrow and good little scary story of this derelict band. Good touch the scarecrow that's 'turned' warning off the kids. Wonder what else could be in there.

Hi Dean Kuch,
Oh dear, oh dear, bad scarecrows indeed. No wonder the crows going in, never come out again. Interesting image as your 'post word' too - looks like someone from the days in the UK where criminals were hung, then the body placed in an iron cage and hung at a crossroads. One reason crows in England are still regarded with revulsion.

Yeah, I've seen pictures and artists renditions of those cages, Patrick. Very gruesome.
Thanks so much for the review. It's sincerely appreciated. ~Dean

Hi,
Yes indeed, you scare me...with those pictures...but you write so well I love to read your work...I don't review often, because I'm simply an old writer of poetry, and although I should...I just don't know much about characters, plots, and how they should be put together to make for a story some would read...but then there are those that do..
Tiny Tales of Terror, I think some would make this old lady faint from fright...or maybe not!...I'm giving this 6 stars, simply because I want too..
Thanks for giving me reason to be entertained again...
Hugs,
Victoria

Ha-ha, well, just because you want to is a good enough reason for me, Victoria, LOL. Don't think for one minute that I don't appreciate it, either. I think flash fiction is well suited for today's get it now, get it fast lifestyles. There are so many things which vie for a person's attention these days. If you can scare someone in 200 words or less, then why not give it a shot, right?
Thanks again, my dear friend. Much obliged! ;)
~Dean
You're very welcome, it was a pleasure!

you set the stage well
and get me very worried for those kids very soon
I love the disappearing crows
great warning from the man and the impact it has :-) Brooke
