Your kind review is very much appreciated. I hope I can deliver on your words, ?should be very humorous.? I'm glad the length of this chapter didn't bother you.
Horror and violence don't interest me as reading or writing matter. I might try fantasy someday.
I don't know anyone named Dolores, but we and another couple used to joke about the guys having an affair with a girl named ?Dolores.? Russ is the name of a friend of mine, but the two Russ's have nothing in common. It just seemed like an appropriate name for this character.

This is great. You do a good job of taking each moment from the little things (for example cancelling the meeting) to the bigger events and putting them front and center. This leads to a very enjoyable read. Strong characters and a well written chapter.
