Well, this enjoyable read is filled with havoc of an otherwise ordinary event. I remember the type of boots you describe. Best line that gave me a giggle: "Emma yelled, "I'll go call daddy to bring the tractor!". Marilyn/BeasPeas

Actually, you were lucky to get out of that, I think. I've heard of fishermen who nearly drowned when their boots filled with water. In a way your story is comical, but in another way scary. Please don't do that again.

I can see how they could easily drown.
Not to worry. Not doing that is tops on my to do list.
