While there are all flavors on FanStory, we are each here for our own reasons.

Some just do not appear happy unless they attempt to belittle someone else to try to make themselves look better.

I say if someone does not want to read what I write, so be it. They can move on to other pastures.

I love Fanstory. It gave me my voice back. I don't think I would have published my book had it not been for Fanstory. This gave me encouragement and the right people to help me in my writing to grow. I don't think I'll ever be famous but I've certainly grown into who I am because of this site. :)

Thanks mate. I think I said I very nearly quit the place because of all the corruption and stuff but glad I stayed to meet yourself and some other new great friends.

Thanks mate. Did I ask whether you are on Face book? It was a rant as I was upset at a review of Louise's trip story on our big trip across Australia in 2000.She wrote the stories coz she didn't want me stealing her thunder writing about them in my autobiography. I twisted her arm into doing it...I only wrote chapters 1 and 3 she did the rest. Now finished. If you have not visited check Tootsie55

Thanks for the reality check,I see this popping up a bit lately. Perspective and self confidence are much needed here. Some reviews and rankings are not helpful to newcomers. I feel your sentiments. I'm on this site to improve and hopefully move on to professional level. However, I don't take myself too seriously. I know this is a place, or should be a place were we encourage each other, and not get our nose bent when we aren't 1,000% in love with what you wrote. I've bumped into a few high nose, can't point out one criticism, writers on this site. My solution is to not read their work. I relate to your poem. I'm sure several of us have felt that way once or twice here.

Thanks Muffins. Love your nick. Neice had a dog called Muffin years ago hehe. Appreciate you coming by. Not sure we have met before or Imhave read your stuff. This was a rant from a review of my wife's stories about our travels in Australia, our home. If interested check out Tootsie55 we are a disabled couple and I recommend starting at the beginning. She writes the chapters except for 1 and 3 I did. I do the proof reading and putting up the pictures.

Sankey, I think you wrote the poem when you were feeling a bit low. You have rightly underscored the basic reason for all of us to be under the spell of FS - it gives us plenty of fun. As long as there is fun, let us enjoy to the hilt ignoring occasional pinpricks. You have expressed well your feelings in the poem without any reservations. .

Forget your name sorry but I know you are a regular friend and reviewer. It was a rant because of a review of my wife's trip stories. I think you have been over to Tootsie55. Thanks for coming by. have had some real dramas with this puter too which has not helped. Hopefully back on track now.

Sometimes I believe the most critical don't stop to think they were not perfect when they began to write either. We all have to start at the beginning and work on this craft.

Some want to do very well and learn, while others just want a forum to write and share. Everyone needs to be respectful.
