This is hilarious. I really thought this was a joke, until I realized it was non-fiction. Hard to believe, but no, teenagers aren't the only ones that are nerve wracking.
I do believe your comment in the author's notes, that you would probably have ended up right there in the slammer yourself. I hardly think anyone dealing with these types of calls would not end up either totally looney or in the slammer.
That was truly a trying conversation. Funny though.

Thanks for reviewing my work. It's funny now, but at the time of the conversation, I kept wondering how much time I would get for murder, if I pled insanity.

A super piece of dialogue. There is so much potential for other stories based around this conversation. By adopting the dialogue of the caller, we could visualise what kind of person it was. Thanks for sharing. Fiona

Thanks for reviewing my work, and for your encouraging words. And the start...let's not forget those stars.

Your claim that the subject dialog was real is harder to believe than the existence of fairies and angels. The scary thing is that the intelligence displayed by the caller is on a level with our legislators.

Thanks for reviewing my work. You're right about the level of intelligence... and my claim that this is non fiction is honest....honest.

It isn't only on Del Mabry, in Tampa where they roam, they are at Wal Mart, and the Mall, they are disorganized and cannot make a demand, or complete a call.

They have failed at following the law, because they are intellectually broke: The cannot PAY attention.
The jail or prison terms should be a few months longer, and no probation. It is only a carousel that allows them to go right or left, with directions from a probation officer; then back to prison, because they became needy and therefore entitled, and are stealing or robbing.

Correctional officers and probation offices are unpaid. Solution, write a book about all the counts and no-accounts that you have dealt with over the years, it would be hilarious and a best seller. "Do You Believe It?" Sort of a Ripley's about people.
There is a section, in every town that is a modern day "Deliverance," and we can only take them to the fountains, or school, but we can't make them drink or learn.
I loved it. Eeespecially the dees and doeeees, and fingers and nose, and where is you at?

    Thanks for reviewing my work.

You're right about the 'carousel' affect, but I have to wonder if some of the people are stupid (very dull in mind, retarded), or ignorant (lacking knowledge, uninformed). Some of them seem to know how to work the system, and fulfill their 'entitlement' very well.

Hahahahaha! That is a crack up mate. I can just see you staring at the phone and wondering what the heck you had on the other end! I got a real kick out of this one. Cheers Fez

Oh my goodness. This is so funny. Unless you have worked in a prison or vocational rehabilitation next to a prison. I have worked in both places. So it is not so funny. Thank goodness I was not at "the front desk".

Ah'poat might ring closer to what he said than a-port. Just guessing. I believe every word of this. I don't know if all crooks are dumb, but many, many are real
intellectuals...

That was absolutely one of the funniest 'dumb criminal' calls I've read(/heard). Did you ever find out what happened to this brilliant mind after the call?

This rating does not count towards story rating or author rank.

No, I truly don't know what happened to the caller...frankly, at that point in our conversation, I didn't care.

I thought this was hilarious, made even more so by your telling us, under Author Notes, that the conversation actually took place.

Thank you for the six stars. I really appreciate them.

Yes, sometimes real life is funnier and a lot more aggravating then a sitcom on TV.
