Powerful poem penned in just a few well chosen words. It does reflect a universal truth, both in how the words impact us if said or withheld. The picture is beautiful but overwhelm the poem. I think a poem of this quality should be the focus, and only accentuated by the (gorgeous) artwork. Caroline

The word choice really gets the topic across, not just love but the strength behind the meaning, as you say in line two. The image in line three switches the emotion nicely with Float softly, a very different feeling, but still true but adding a softer tone. Then line four takes the emotion on another level with Or slay....This is definitely a strong image reinforced with alliteration of slay and soul. The one word ending shows how much the love really means. Nicely written.

Although this seems to want to be a longer poem, in such a short piece you show love as having both the power to float comfort and slay with steely precision. Love does make the world go round and the lack of it causes it it flare up. Thanks for sharing.

The picture is too dominating and over powering for such a short poem. Visually it is about all the reader sees unless they look harder a second time. A smaller version of the same picture would have been more appropriate. I did however enjoy the actual poem and what it was saying. Write on.
