Excellent juxtaposition here, Quoiky, especially for such a short poem. It also happens to be very truthful. If you love someone deeply and express that to them by vocalizing it, and the words are not returned in kind, well... needless to say it hurts, and it hurts quite badly.

Very nice. Short but powerful. The picture was hard on my eyes but also a powerful picture in such a small package. So true a message too. Nothing can slay us more than missing the knowledge that we are loved.

I love your use of such few words. Love is a complicated and misrepresented emotion much of the time, but you managed to address two of the most obvious facets of it.
