Your words show how loss can impact us. Strong feelings and sadness are seen in your words. You keep your son's memory alive by writing about him, that is the beauty of writing.

Hi, Ricky,
"In the Blink of An Eye" screams raw emotion and sorrow. The first 5 stanzas are superior poetry while the last stanzas giving the reasons for the accident drag. The style of this poem is very unusual and might not be appreciated by every one
My deepest sorrow for your loss.

I am on leave for two weeks and decided to take a break from writing too. My first break in over two years. I will catch up on your story when I get back. Good luck.
Take care.
Christelle.

This is an incredibly powerful, tragic, and sad story. It reaches out from the page and grabs your heart and soul. That there should beauty in a story such as this seems like a contradiction, but it is beautifully told.
I'd like to point out a few typing errors to tighten the writing:
Line 1 of the actual poem, I think you want "about a quarter to eight, a dozen years of a single.....
line 20, "so tragic and destined to drive....
Line 25, "ordeal and injure...
Line 27, not sure what you want here , Ford Mustang (toast?)
I've been to the Atco Speedway. I won't ever see it the same way after reading your story.
My heart and beast wishes go out to you.

I'm a Jersey boy. Born in North Jersey, but I have lived all over South Jersey: Westmont, Berlin, Voorhees, and Medford.
