Tells it exactly how I feel. It was written well, maybe watch out for run on sentences and watch where your spacing and commas are. Overall great job.

Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

This piece is very heartfelt and well meant to create a message about poverty and unfairness in life. It is a critique of the U.S. government, which although I do not know enough about the issues to have a real opinion, I see validity in the work from having known other people struggling with life to find a place and get help. It was a good read and easy to follow, well done!

Thank you for understanding my message. One reviewer-said Good- was more concerned with commas and run on sentences. Too bad form over substance still prevails.

Speak it now before it's too late...
I am a cripple of sorts, walk with a cane, have a lame left arm. I spent my life in construction, I'm in my fifties now. I have watched the wages drop, while the cost of living has increased. They continue to raise the minimum wage while cutting down the middle class. It won't be long and we'll all be slaves. Me as a gimp, I'll be put out to pasture...just like you feel as a vet. No respect.
Orwell brother, I was Boxer my whole life. I can smell the glue factory now.
Fight the good fight.

"When they come for me--there was no one left."
Your writings and the quotations are excellent and fit in well with your ideas.
Yes, we seem to have gotten our priorities mixed up. The middle class man is the one being the hardest hit with this 'help others' belief.
I certainly can agree with all that you have written here. Sorry, it is so true.

Very interesting story. My daughter lives in the US, but she seems to think that the sun shines out of Obama, maybe she doesn't know what it is like to be unemployed and poor. Those who the mass opening of borders does not affect think it is right. I personally don't and feel very bad for you. Very well expressed views, would you mind if I sent your story to my daughter-just to see if I can open her eyes to the problems. Enjoyable read, if it weren't so sad. Faye

Thank you for your review. The story I have written is the story of many; all who has seen the darkness of exclusion.
Tell you daughter to go on line to Drudge, to read the many stories on all problems, and issues, we have in our Nation.
The problem with immigration, among many, is that we do not have a plan to multiply the fishes and loaves, and so we must be vigilant in providing for the needy, avoiding the greedy, and surviving.

I like the titanic metaphor ...and you have a job.....you are a great writer...send this to Sean Hannity...or better yet turn 9 meatballs into a novel...a hard biting novel...call it common sense.....it's not too common anymore
God bless

The United States Government has failed in its efforts to provide the jobs that workers need. ... I am of a mind that it is not, NOT, the job of a government to provide jobs: build infrastructure and provide protection, yes.

The mess we are in was caused principally be stupid Americans over-consuming. It will not be fixed until we put up a foreign-trade tariff that forces us to develop our manufacturing capability back to what it was in 1970. Short of that, we are in deep yogurt.

Hi El,

This is a real eye opener for many people. Although I feel terrible for you, what comes to mind is how we think of general statistics and not each individual.

I love your analogy about the lifeboats and agree with you. We need to think of our own citizens first. I sincerely hope something good comes your way. Try to maintain a positive outlook and keep focused.

Hugs,
Lou

Your commentary brings so many things up that are on every one's minds.
I look at myself and I have been pronounced OCD, but only late in life.
A song "Skin" comes to mind. "I could have been you! You could have been me".
I am better off than I have earned.

To say I enjoyed reading your work seems a little odd given the topic and content however it was definitely an eye opener to see that governments all around the world are failing their people and putting foreign interest... It is indeed sickening and shocking to read and see the mass of devastation government policy so proudly has elected and won.
I can identify with exactly what you are saying although I am an Australian not American the system failed me here... 22 pages of qualifications and over 20 yrs experience working in community services I still found myself homeless and lost everything when I had just found out I was pregnant with my 6mth old daughter... I had to leave her dad for DV reasons and still was forced to look for work right up until I was due and very heavily pregnant... It has taken me 15 months to find my feet again but I have the deepest and upmost respect for anyone who has suffered and endured similar or the same as you have so eloquently written about...
What will it take for the government to finally listen and take note.. I really hope they see and read your published work but I fear that sadly a lot of suffering goes unnoticed and or ignored because people in power work in offices so far removed away from society they cannot possibly help.
Something drastic needs to be done.
Your story needs to be published to open the eyes of world and open the hearts and minds of people to recruit support and help.
I may not be money rich but I always pay it forward when I can... Some of the most precious things in life just cannot be bought such as loving kindness, compassion and the ability to listen and have a heart...

    Grace,
    Thank you for your review.
Try the mantra I now use. Prayers for your good health and future.
Weep not for what you have lost, fight for what you have

"Weep not for what is dead, fight for what was born in you

Weep not for the one who abandoned you, fight for who is with you

Weep not for those who hate you, fight for those who want you

Weep not for your past, fight for your present struggle

Weep not for your suffering, fight for your happiness

With things that are happening to us, we begin to learn that nothing is impossible to solve,

    just move forward" author unknown
