You captured my attention from the first line to the last.
I smiled as I read your poem for your words are so true.
My mother introduce me to poems when I was love and I did the same to my children so far two love to write, that not bad two out of four.

Excellent

A creative and colorful poem for children about children, it flowed well until that last line which seems discordant and forced. May a better rhyme would be "sometimes". Then you could write a line like:

And become poets sometimes
or
And learn to love it sometimes

So cute and well written, this poem Ine. O yes children love candy and especially lollipops. That will never change. And furry animals to cuddle.
I grew up with the rhyming poems of Annie M.G. Schmidt and still love them.

Ine; Very well written poem that send a message about how to write the children which is quite simple when you think of it. They like well rhyme poems that are easily read and are fluid and clear. Your poem suggests this very much and notwithstanding the fact that they also like sweets, cats and dogs, Thank you for sharing and posting and may the good Lord be with you always my friend.
