I know Valerius is right, but I agree with Trellitia, I'd hang him upside-down from a tree and just let him die...not particularly compassionate, but what the heck, I clearly do not like Cicero. Great work with this chapter. Trellitia is an amazing woman and works very well under pressure.

I love these chapter, this one especially is very good. Many are infected but even Cicero will receive treatment, Valerius decides being a Doctor he has to obey his oath. Well done.

This is great descriptive writing and dialog. So often the evil-doers in any religion taints the entire whole.

"I'm a believer in what he only professes to believe."

Great word and a reminder that we have responsibility to be the correct example of what false teachers deface.

I would have Cicero die just to get rid of the bastard, but the story is better, of course, if he lives and chnages his mind about them all being evil demons. Good episode. I'm glad Trellita and others are immune from having it earlier. Otherwise, they'd probably all die and what a terrible ending that would make. LOL!

As always, this story is exciting...note that last chapter Abraus fell off of the horse, fainted. Now, this chapter he is shouting. Maybe, get him help first or someone else shout.

I like how the village people are coming to the doctor and Trellita for help instead of the priest who are looking for demons in everyone. Well written. Where are you going with the next one? Do the love birds get married?

Have a blessed Christmas, my friend, flylikeaneagle

I had to google the Red Plague. Was it something of your invention, Mikey? Google connected it with Vampirism, but also mentioned some childhood diseases, such as measles and chicken pox. Just wondering.

This was an entertaining chapter, as are all yours. Don't tell me the crisis is going to fizzle out because everyone gets sick and no one has the energy to fight the demons?

Good catch. As usual, you're the only one that saw that. I think I've come up with enough for this "little" segment. Hahaha. This segment is now longer than any of my novels!!

I think i see where you are going. The question is, who dies? This is going to be sad, but at least they got to feel each other in the flesh and enjoy their love for once. Will they ever live a full life together? They'd better!! :))

I find it ironic that after all the danger both real and eluded to that was presented by the priests, now the more deadly enemy is a disease. You really brought that out of nowhere. Quite an interesting twist. This section of the story is coming to a close in a way that I did not expect. I was thinking all along that by now Julia would've been burned at the stake as a witch.
Loved Valerius' line about treating Cicero the way he professes to believe.
Great chapter, not sure how you will end this section.

I have to kill at least one of them, maybe both. Or let them have each other and write something else, but I have several lifetime's to go. I don't think I'll go this crazy again. mikey

Yeah, I thought the last one was long. You outdid yourself this time. You have me seriously scared for the next segment. You'll be writing a 'War and Peace' length section.
