I am not a fan for horror, normally, however this piece was well written and told the story in a succinct manner. I felt pity for the daughter and horrified by the father's actions

We, as loving, caring and nurturing parents, always want our kids to be blessed with brains. For this guy, however, he wanted far more than to have his daughter blessed with brains. He wanted the whole enchilada, and for a snack, no less!
I gotta hand it to you, this was a gr-r-r-r-r-e-a-t take on the prompt. A zombie with cognizant, coherent thought processes has many fantastic implications, as long as a muzzle is kept on 'em. They could be used as soldiers in battle, or for slave labor and other types of dangerous work, like down deep in the mine shafts.
I'll say one thing, the guy's idea was partially on track. I doubt he got much of a chance to finish his work, however, not after taking a bite out of his kid's head with all of those armed cops around.
I hope he took good notes.
Great terror tale, a really fun read.
Good luck in the contest. :} ~Dean

Nice one! I think, zombies will spare me for I have no brain hahaha....
This is terrifying to think. With the Ebola virus around, I can't help but think that it is one mad scientist project. There are many wicked people than we think and we will never know how bad their project is until we become the victim. Good luck in the contest. c', mae

An intetesting take on the prompt. A whole new form of living dead. Now they will be smart and have their memory. Thst will certainly make them almost impossible to stop. A winner I would brt.

Oooo! Yuk, lo and behold a "normal" zombie, I enjoyed this somewhat languidly written and themed horror story until the greeting from his little girl who was savaged and her brain eaten, it would have helped if it had have been the interviewer perhaps, but neverless it has to be a solid entry in this contest, well written, good luck, well done, blessings, Roy.

Cool, I love the style in which this was written. It captured my attention right away and never let go. Not really that gory but cute!

AHHH! A ghoulish piece of literature. Nicely done for the horror genre. I had every hope qwe were going to change the plateau of our culture and incorporate the walking dead as we would any other immegrant. Not so mystery writer. The beat goes on and we are still at war with the walking dead and zombies of the world. Most excellent! rj
