Your poem is in good 5/7/5 syllable count for the contest
I'd be happier if the poem didn't depend so heavily on the cartoon for its humor - without the illustration, the joke just doesn't work.
It would make a very funny poster with the artwork though.

This is one of those works in which the words and the illustration complement one another perfectly, and I love them both!

Your twist on "A leopard can't change its spots" is both humorous and clever. The wardrobe of optional outfits is pure genius.

Another thing that stands out here is the strong, consistent attitude conveyed by both the picture and the tone of the words. This is great, and I hope it wins.
