The beauty of our lives can be seen day to day, as the seasons change from spring to summer, winter to fall. The vast, open sky is painted by God's own hand.

Beautiful sonnet...fills me with joy and new appreciation for all that I see, and take for granted. Good luck in this contest, and Happy Thanksgiving!

This is a very beautiful Shakespearean Sonnet. Your author's notes, and referring specially to Salmon 46:10, one of my faves, did it. Best.

At first your creation delivers a pleasant glow but two deficiencies detract from the enjoyment.
The forced rhyme of land/sand grates a bit and it strikes me that verse three should precede the first verse ... or better yet, the first verse should be the third verse.

Beautiful! I am reminded of Shakespeare's own lines in Romeo and Juliet:
'It seems she hangs upon the cheek of night
As a rich jewel in an Ethiop's ear'
Your poem had the beauty and the serenity of a perfect sonnet. The melody was apt as in the 'lingering fall leaves float gently down'.
Good luck!

Hi. This is a good sonnet and a great message...take in the beauty and see it for what it is. We rush so much.
A good reminder to just stand still and enjoy what is before our eyes.

This is a beautiful Sonnet with lovely
imagery and rhyme.
The meter is right on and gives the poem
a smooth flow.
Nice turn in the third stanza and a strong closing couplet.
Good luck in the contest. Nancy
