How sad and my heartfelt condolences on your loss. Pets are family members - there really isn't a difference in the emotions we feel for them, both happy and sad. Your choice of color as background suggests the color of your pet's eyes. Much luck in the contest. AT=/

This is quite touching. It sweetly defines some sweet features then sews those into a feeling of grief. I can clearly see both sides of this relationship - the joy and the sorrow. It's quite beautiful.

I'm so very sorry about the loss of your dog. I completely agree with your author's notes. Sadness definitely prompts writing and I hope it brings you some comfort as well. Your tetractys poem is well written and expresses well your love for your dog. I think I may have found one error. I come up with 5 syllables in the fourth line, but I think there is only supposed to be 4. Maybe I counted wrong. Just thought I'd point it out in case you want to double check. Your poem says so much in relatively few words. It's very well done. Best of luck to you in the contest. :)

It's horrible. Every time I come home I expect to see how bounding down the driveway to greet me. Only people who love animals will know the deep connection a person can have with them. Bless you.
