It's a good poetic way of delivering this idea to our fellow Fanstorians. I share a similar attitude, though I also do not mind reviewing for two cents on occasion, especially for people who offer in depth reviews on my own work.
I like the simple. direct style of voicing. Fine flow and rhymes. The only suggestion I have pertain to the last stanza:
It's like what a feller said,(NO COMMA)
Just other day (, or : )
(")The pride in some's writin'
Must equal their pay..(.)
With suggestions:

Fairness is a great theme and your poem conveys it clearly.

Thanks very much I have read some of your stuff and I know you have had some great successes in here. This poem is an oldie I got out to help some of the newer members and I appreciate the suggestions. Surprises me I left some of your good punctuation out.Happy New Year.

Hi again somehow missed the start of your review I agree I have never minded reviewing for just a few cents, especially writers I know are good, or indeed new starters. I have another poem I might put up again regarding the other side of reviewing, ie responses from the reviewed persons. I have made the suggested changes and thanks very much for your time.

I agree, if you are proud of your write then promote it. If you aren't proud of it, then why bother to write it or bother to promote it. I enjoyed reading your poem.

Thanks Barbara got the suggestion on Pride in work from another good FS friend. It was an angle I had not thought of till that time and helped inspire the poem.

But at the same time 'big' or 'long' is not always necessarily good. As they say there is good stuff in little bundles. I think the best criteria is quality. Enjoyable read. Thank you. Thanks Judy. Like I have said I am a sucker always for a good story even when the reward is not there. Appreciate you coming by. Had this on my heart for a while and someothing one of my favourite writers said recently really inspired me to get on with it. Cheers.

Lol I hear what you are saying but there's the other side of the coin where people are well paid for reviewing very short poems maybe of only 5 words. However if I am reading a lengthy story I do prefer to be paid well for my time and effort. You have expressed your opinion well.

Hi Wendy exactly not fair to pay big reward for small reading. But also not fair to pay pittance for large 'tomes' hehe thanks for coming by not sure we have met before. Look for your stuff. We all try and help each other in here. I am a sucker for a good story or poem regardless of reward...and as I tell people I have heaps of member dollars in my sack anyway.

love it. A fair day's work for a fair day's pay. However, I review once the story or poem grabs my attention. Just reviewed for two cents. sometime some of us can't afford to pay and I appreciate their posting. money is not all. Having said I always promote my poems.

Agreed we all get sucked in no matter what the reward or lack of some times. There are some who cannot afford and if I know that then I encourage them. As I have said I have heaps of member s=dollars so no worries and I love good stories and poems. Thanks for coming by new friend IN know we are seeig each others stuff.

I entirely agree with you, the system here on FS is to review with honesty and earn your member dollars, because you need them to put your own work on. I have spent a lot of time reviewing work with no member dollars, but when the same person is putting on long stories in two and threes, I really feel this is not fair to their fans.

I'm new to FS and it is clear to me that spending more time reviewing earns money for promoting writing. But it is really up the writer as to how much they promote a work.

Hi there friend yes it is as I quoted a friend's comment the amount of promoting indicates the pride in our work. It is hard in the beginning building up the member dollars but after almost 16 Months now I am getting there. Appreciate your great review hope to see you around if we have not met already.
