I should change my name to "Wash Me" in case my car is stolen. :) The title tells it all. Very good excuse that I've already put at the top of my list. The title's are one of the most over looked parts of a piece on this site. But, not by you! Very sharp. mikey

Once a week. Good for you! I wait until the sunlight hits it and makes it obvious. :-)

I love this! It is very funny. The thief wasn't too smart, that's for sure. This brought back a childhood memory that I haven't thought about in many years. When I was a kid, any time we visited my grandparents (my father's parents), my mother would write her name in the dust on their furniture.

Not a good way to make friends. LOL. Hope they had a sense of humor.

At first I was misplaced at reading it.
Because of the word ID, but the picture you used did the unveiling and I remembered it could also mean identified.
Great write!

LOL hopefully the things didnt smear the dust and erase the name. I like my house better at night because the dust isn't as easy to see as when the sun is streaming in. I enjoyed your fun senryu, Shari
Smiles,
Karyn :-)

I hear you! The sun hit my end table yesterday and I was shocked into action!

This would be better if the second line was edited. Who steals things? Thieves right? So it is quite redundant to say furniture stolen by thieves.

The highest and the lowest rating are not included in calculations.

Good point, mauial. I'll try to come up with something.

Very punny little senryu about some not so sharp thieves blunder. Some folks are not cut out for crime--myself included lol. Good theme and syllable count as well.

LOL. I guess being over cleanly is not always for the better. Thieves, or crooks in general always make a slip. Great humor. Thanks for sharing. Les

Thanks, Les. Shows that cleanliness isn't always a virtue.

I can't imagine how you came up with this one. It's cute! Leaving your name written in the dust would be a sure give-away. Remind me to dust more often. Now if they had only left a last name and phone number, just to make it easy. There would be fingerprints, too. Somehow, thieves often manage to stay one step ahead of the police. judi

I don't know. I like to think that no one gets away with it, but they do.

I'm sure they do get away with many small crimes. They can't even solve some of the bigger cases. judi

Well, I guess that's one good thing about not dusting. Why do I have the feeling you've been contemplating dusting your own furniture, but decided to write this instead? Thank you for the smile, Shari. Feeling somber. Put my cat to sleep on Friday. Have one cat left. Hugs, Lou

My condolences, Lou. I know how that hurts. If she's anything like my cat, she'll try to visit you sometime. When you think of her/him, that means her/his spirit or soul is thinking of you.
I'll bet your other cat is in mourning too. :-(
Hugs,
Shari

Thank you, Shari. I think she is too. This is the first time I've had only l cat since 1983. I'm not going to adopt another one. I can't monitor eating and stools, etc. with 2 and 3 cats at a time.
We found Kaykay in our backyard in Dec. 2011. She was so small I thought she was 6 months old. The vet said she was full grown. Malnourished. She has tapeworms, but vet said she could very well out live them. Said there's no medication to give cats for that.

And outlive them she did. What a darling name. I'd take care of a stray too. Bet you gave her a lot of loving.
