It would have been a sad day when you had to part with your piano. My husband is following much the same pathway and I'm becoming more and more deaf too. His hearing aid has some adjustment which he uses for listening to music.

Thanks for the lovely review. The poem has been around for ages I just edited it and improved the layout the other day. IO jave a music link that works with the "T" switch on the hearing aid but still getting it sorted.

You seem to be taking your circumstances well in stride--in good spirits.
Your poem is very wall-written, descriptive of how your loss of hearing has affected your daily life.

Thanks for coming by. This was a re-edit and improvement on layout. I may seem to have taken the loss well but believe you, me not so at the beginning.

At least you were able to enjoy it for awhile. I never learned how to play any instrument. They can sound pretty. It can be sad letting something you love go but just know someone is getting their share of memories with it now. It will continue to live on.

I hope you hear the music in your memory. I have this amazing gift, I hear music even when there's nothing playing. I pray that for you, dear Geoff. I know what it like to lose such a gift. My eyesight loss continues. I look at beautiful things and log them into my memory everyday. Sending you my best and blessings always, dear brother. Sal XOs....

That is a shame that you have become deaf and can't hear the music and now your piano is redundant. My friend had a piano in her house when I was young and she would play for me, happy memories, love Dolly x

Well you wrote a funny poem about it so it isn't as sad as it seems. You still have a lot to enjoy but I've heard some of your composition and you were very talented. It is sad that you can't keep it up.

A great poem here, Geoff. So sad in a way, but beautiful in another. I got a kick out of these lines, too:

"I now take my pleasure
In all times of leisure
From Encore* and my 'puter keys.

Brilliant write, my friend. Bob

Geoff,

I always smile to read your attitude in dealing with things you have no control over. I appreciate that so much! Many people would rather fuss and complain and make everyone else miserable, too!!! Thanks!

Robyn, I guess privately I have been a lot more frustrated by my loss of hearing that it may appear. Thanks for the lovely review. Still trying to get new web sites set up to present my stuff to the world. The old server where things were has closed down.

I read your well written poem about your piano when you were younger. I am sorry to know your hearing is diminishing.
Its nice to know that you can tell us on fanstory with your poem.
