Hi Geoff, this is a very interesting read. I've fallen way behind, because I had my Danish family visiting during the week. After 2 years and 9 months not seeing them, I had no time to be on FS.
Now I'm looking forward to reading more of your biography. Ulla:)))

Thanks, Ulla a pity you may have missed a lot of funny money I had on these. Glad you explained why the Fisherman's story is missing this week.

I've also posted a wee notice for everyone to be read. :)))

Well Ulla, I so appreciate your coming by. And there is more coming of the way back stuff. I originally started my autobiography in 2013 and new reviewers are still pointing out more changes I need to make. Hope I get it published before I move on upward! Thanks again.

Could not afford the car but bought it anyway. Must have really liked it.
Not good to miss a required turn on a long trip. If you do it seems you keep going and never realize you missed your turn.
Dislike mosquitos.
Good thing the Rover happened by.
Sounds like you had a good visit with your dad, and the new experience of a pig hunt.
Squamous cell carcinoma, or any skin cancer, worries the fire out of me. I now have had 11 tumors. 10 Basal Cell, which I understand is the best kind to have if one must suffer skin cancer. The last biopsy found tumor 11 to be pre-cancer, the worst tumor I have had yet. It was on my right arm.
An enjoyable read.

Thanks for the great review old mate. seems we are on the same page with a lot of stuff. I didn't grow up in an orphanage but my Dad left us when I was 8. (They re-married each other when I was 30 if you remember from my tome.)

Geoff,
Very cool. It sounds like an eventful trip, for sure! I'm sure you were very sad to see that new vehicle sink into that yucky black sand!! Not the happiest sight for a new car owner, I'm sure!!
It's good to see you back, my friend! Thanks!

I enjoyed another story which I haven't read before. Did you Dad get to keep any opals he found? I heard Opals are found in Australia. It sound like you gave that new car a pretty good work out. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Thanks Beth. The pictures certainly say a lot. There is another story about the Grawin Road I might dig out that Louise wrote, about a near crash on the gravel road. See if I can find it for you. I may get her book out again as I did a lot of editing and added the photos to her "Our Trips" book.

I normally do not read chapters that roam on and on. Yours was different in that the pics reminded me of what I see on the Gold prospector shows from your country. What a foreign language Aussies speak, considering its English. I enjoyed your story immensely. Thank you.

Thank you for sharing your story and videos. I love the cows walking across the road. How funny! We have cattle on our farm, but they don't have all the land the cows in your movie have. haha. They would love it.
Great pictures to go along with your chapter.
Take care,
Rhonda

Thanks Sis. I am just so, so sorry I was not managing the movie camera better. I am also sorry I sold the camera and the old 'Ham n Eggs' Super 8 projector. Brand name is Hanimex but always called it the other. Appreciate your lovely review. Check back if you have not done so and see if the previous chapter still has a reward on it.
Lord Bless.

LOL I bet the soda really tasted good even though water would have been better. Loved the trip and the missed sign?
Wow what a way to think you would have to stay there in the heat and the bugs.

Another interesting chapter to your story. I like the reference to the car being "baptized". The pictures are always a nice addition to the story.

Hi Sis trying to get a picture onto the next chapter to replace the one that is there. I was so pleased when I figured out a way to get more than one picture on my stories. Thanks for coming by again.

That's wonderful! Found I had a virus in the browser, so had to switch browsers.

You really gave that new Mazda a work-out, didn't you? Sounds like you had a great trip, regardless. Seeing the opal mine must have been impressive! Home brewed ginger beer exploding was another initiation for your new car. You seemed to take all these happenings in stride. You have a wonderful story-telling style. I don't think you need to interrupt your flow with what you're going to include later or what you've written in the past. Great pictures to include. judi

Hi , thanks for the review. I think you have a point about including the future or the past but I recently read a former prime MInister's autobiography (John Howard who was up the road speaking at a conference in a Hotel not far from the pentagon in Washington DC on 911 when that all happened.) and he does talk about future and past as he goes along. I had a reviewer criticize my use of "had had" in my writings viz 'someone had had a bad dream" and so on and my Sis in law a retured University tutor in English confirmed I was right in my usage. Others have said same about predicting forward and going back....MIchael Cahill and I are both "Tangent Men" we do wander off sometimes, hehe.

An excellent continuation. I'm guessing the car your talking about is the Australian version of an Audi. An Audi is the one car that I always wanted that I haven' yet.

Ha it felt like something much more special, but just a 1973 Mazda 1300 sedan, my only brand new car, in my single days. I was sorry I let it go due top some wrong information. Cost $AUD2,370.
