Some new stuff for me here. Another concise well written chapter. I never get lost, so if you have a few tangents it only adds interest. The flow of the story isn't interrupted at all. The thief on the cross is so significant to me. That says it all right there. The thief had no time to do anything but show remorse and belief. The answer is there right at the very first moment of Christianity. Great point! Great logic in your discussion without being judgmental or trying to sway anyone. Just the facts and your beliefs. That's the best way. It gets the best response too. Put it in their mind and let it roll around! mikey

Thanks Bro was thee any rewards left on this wone been afew days since I re-did it. So thankful some of your ideas and barbara Wilkey's as well put me onto the way of splitting them up. Had a lot of positive comments people a lot happier with SMALL. Wish we had done it this way in the beginning. More pf my own pics as well hey!

Yeah, so many people think if they are baptized they are save, meanwhile they make no effort to live a decent life. I think that is more important. Another interesting chapter.

I agree that baptism or any of the sacraments do not bring salvation, redemption, or forgiveness. They are to strengthen us and give testimony.
In church history one can read how these doctrines came to be. When the church and state became as one, the state used the church to control people. Through baptism records they could tract people, their families, etc. They knew a bit of what they were up to. By making them believe these things were required to go to heaven they kept them under thumb.
In the early church, they met in homes or outdoors. Any Christian could baptize another or serve communion.

AMEn thanks for that. We have had people who have been forced to be re-baptized because the came from a brethren background adn most brethren assemblies do not hgave pastors so it was supposed to be a pastoral authority crutch they should be baptized under which is bunkum. Trouble is we have seen folks re -batised and re-batised but no chnge evident. Go figure!Thanks for coming by.

I didn't find any serious SPAM here. You did miss a few Paragraph Spaces.
Also, I noticed you occasionally use double punctuation which is frowned upon by editors. By double punctuation I mean Question marks followed by exclamation points.
A good chapter, though.

hey mate thanks for coming by. Yeah I do agree about the double punctuation. Like the tangent man I guess. I am working on these I don't know how recently you came in I did do some fixes earlier.

I appreciate your picking this up. In some of the editing we would hyphenate whjen going from line to line then when it got on FS it got broken up. I mostly know not to do that anymore will fix and thanks.

Hi agai thanks for your help I fixed that spag up. Also added soe more and if you hang on a short while I will add tthe poem I mentioned I have some place else in this chapter as well which may even explained thing even more if interested.

What a fateful turn. This episode popped up just as I was closing my review of the previous one. And just as well, the ideas presented here are of interest to me.
I find this episode more educational especially on the topics of baptism and the church. Very true that the majority view the church as a building. They forget that God is Omnipresent and can be worshipped almost anywhere.
When Jesus preached to the multitudes in the open air, there was a church because it was a gathering of believers.
Maybe we need a change of perspective when it comes to matters of church and worship.

I find this episode more educational especially on the topics of baptism and the church. Very true that the majority view the church as a building. They forget that God is Omnipresent and can be worshipped almost anywhere.
When Jesus preached to the multitudes in the open air, there was a church because it was a gathering of believers.

AMEN Friend. Appreciate you coming by. God is not limited to buildings and He is not 'off some where' and inaccessible to anyone He is right here with us. If we would just realise what Christ did once and for all on Calvary for all of us it won't matter our denomination if we are trusting in the shed blood of Christ alone for salvation I look so much forward to meeting all my international bros and Sisters in Glory some day. this is an excellent chapter, sankey. you did an excellent job describing believer's baptism and how it is not a requirement to salvation, just a symbol of the decision to follow Christ. like our preacher says Christ plus nothing equals salvation. accepting Christ is the only requirement

Thanks so much Bro. I have alwaysd thought it was better to have a husband and wife pastoring I mean the Poastor over all and the pastor's wife to minister to the women and young ladies and to of course support her husband. God Bless you are review no 36 today! Everyone loves the smaller chapters will continue to break them up right through so all the old stalwarts as you are will see old coming up again and again ha.
