Seems small from my perspective. Of course I am used to the Los Angeles County Fair, one of the world's largest. I guess, or maybe I should say I hope that the people attending had a good time. Congrats on meeting the poem's requirements.

Thanks for your review and five stars. Yes, fair are exciting.
Comment from Pantygynt
The idea behind this is fine but, given that this is entered in a contest that requires the poem to be in 5-7-5 format, I would be failinh in my duty if I did not point out that the piece is non-compliant. The last line has six syllables,
2nd Review.
That's better -- compliant now. I will upgrade to 5 stars.

I corrected the error. I am glad you pointed it out.
Thanks for the review and four stars.
If you have time read it again.

Yes That's OK. I have adjusted the review and upgraded to 5 stars.

Thanks, if I would have horned in on it, I would have caught it. I thought it sounded right or I was either excited about my city.

Thank you for your five stars and review. I put this on as a revive because I have had it on before. Since our fair starts today, I decided to enter it again. They are changing it from September to July in 2020.
Once again thanks.

This is a view of an agricultural market, a fantastic, big, historic and colourful county fair, a new tradition for a new world event started on the town, and now is being celebrated in York City; well said, well done.

Thank you for your five starts and review on my historical piece I once again put on for people to read.
Yes, in 2020 they are changing the date from September to July.

Your contest entry is wonderful history lesson about those country fairs in the US. Many communities and states have their own versions of the same. Good food, exhibits, and lots of visitors abound.
Happy you also use FanArt for your posts.
IMHO ... you will increase your presentation level if you increase your font size in the advanced editor mode. And, I favor centering of text lines for these short verses.

Thanks for reviewing my revive work since I had it on before. It is fair and I had to put it on. Thanks for the five stars and review.
The fair, like other fairs, has brought so much excitement for us as well as people exhibiting saleable items.
In 2020, they are changing it to July instead of September.
Comment from Glasstruth
Really like the picture which helps the poem. The poem alone just doesn't say enough. I know you're limited with just 17 syllables. Good luck with the contest. Les

Thanks again for the stars and review. I again will look at the haiku. I am not that old in this field but I have been here long enough. Thanks.

Fairs are cool sometimes, but some of them need much more pizzazz! Have Ferris wheels that aren't grounded, can freewheel...Or use huge tractor tires. Hold a lot of challenging events like who can scarf the most donuts before vomiting. In fact, do that one BEFORE getting in the Ferris wheel. Have a hang gliding and vomit-targeting contest. Who can nail a selected person first.
Kidding. I'm in a very goofy mood. Anyway, I like this. You're saying a lot in few words, as is required in haiku poems. I see no flaws.

Thanks for your stars and review. Fairs are nice, our fair now, people can watch animals being born, I think they can watch it on a camera-
so don't quote me :). Young people really enjoy themselves, they use to play hooky from school to go back in the 50's and 60's.
he children got a fair day from school, they use to play hooky,
this was back in the 50's and 50's.

Good job! Yes, I sort of remember them. Didn't attend too many, though.

Well this meets the requirements of the contest and your syllable counts are correct in each line. I think you may want to add more oomph.

Thanks for your stars and review but what is oomph?

Something to elicit an emotion

Nicely done and describes how fairs began. Your notes added much to it, I wasn't aware of where county fairs began. Love the picture, too, it is so typical of the fairs wherever they may be. Thanks for sharing this!
