Hahaha! That was LOL like what laugh out loud meant before it became an internet tag. I am a proponent of God must have a wonderful sense of humor taking a look at humanity. I have no doubt that this is exactly what that is. What a surprise. You did say "plump" though, but you turned me around with, "glistens white in night sky"! Ahh. What lovely take on nature will follow!!! mikey

I don't know about you, but my "cheeks" are still plump. :-)

Hi, Shari.
This is very clever! Mooning is an act many of us did one time in our lives. LOL I really like how you've taken this concept and given it a double meaning.
Bye
Rosalyne :)

Hi Shari, Great senryu. The moon is beautiful tonight. You are a master of this form. The moon is beautiful tonight. Something tells me you have done this a couple of time in your teenage life. :) Shirley

Me? I wouldn't have the courage to do this in my youth. Hey, maybe I'll put in on my bucket list. There's still time to try it. :-)

Ha. Mooning is a funny human tradition of which I regretably was too good of a girl to do that. Is it too late for me. I wonder. 8-)

Hi Shari, what a clever and sarcastic little senryu. It's almost a spoof of the romantic and mystical. Many lovers and religions revere the moon, but you manage to turn the poetic and romanticized on its bum. Very funny little write.

Thanks, gail. A full moon can still be romantic. I'm just funnin' the one cut in half. LOL

LOL. Having a God with a sense of humor is what we all need. Is God really imperfect? Each to his own interpreting. The last line is a really killer! Les

This is an exceptional write, S.
A unique imagery is portrayed in the first two verses.
"God's mooning us"-- clever phrasing. We aren't the brightest creatures alive, so maybe we do deserve to be scorned by Him.
Even human beings insult each other regularly. Lol.
Hugs

This is original, lol! Yeah, maybe sometimes we do deserve less of God's goodness...Then too, those who worship the moon would say something like "NO! The Moon is ALWAYS be-au-ti-ful! What is wrong with any size, phase, or shape of the Moon?!" Reply: Well, there times I hear quite a bit of howling...
GOOD One!
