I really like your 1-6-1 entry and can relate to this as I can't stand those disgusting things. I also like your author notes explaining a little more about the daily hassles you endure with them. Good luck in the contest.

Your syllable count in the 3rd line should be 1-one syllable.
Change before contest voting begins and I will also upgrade .

Good luck to you with these pests! After reading your piece I feel ashamed for being so upset with my little fruit flies.You have much bigger battles!

The photo alone conjured up feelings in me. I hate flies with a passion. But your rendering in the short write in only 3 lines with only 6 words in the end made me smile, but that does not keep me from hating flies.

Yuk sounds horrendous! I hate flies especially in swarms. You have described the experience well with just a few words and alliteration. good luck.
