Roxanna, I apologize for being late with a review, but my head is still spinning from the weekend. My son drove up from Virginia with our tie grandchildren and his wife and two puppies. My daughter came up from Maryland with her boyfriend and dog. Add that to my wife, myself and our dog. Get the picture.... IT WAS GREAT.
That's why I didn't review sooner. I love animal stories. Especially those that are talk. Like my stories. I loved your story with its dialogue and twists. Good stuff from a talented writer. John

Sounds like a fun and busy weekend. I just got in from CA Monday. Had been there a week and a half for my nieces wedding and to see family. Had a wonderful time. Haven't written anything in a long time but was inspired to do a SP for my niece. Thanks so much for the great review, hope you get rested up from your weekend. =} Rox

Super Pig has best be careful or his porky butt will be fried. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a good read.

You set the stage well in your intro and introduce Pinky well
get out of those petals, Pinky - add comma for direct address
the farmer's granddaughter - add apostrophe for possessive
prying it's paw loose - drop the apostrophe
over her groom's shoulder - add apostrophe
I like the dialogue with the animal characters and the way they interact with the human characters in this sweet, family-friendly story

The kiddies should simply love this farmyard tale with its well blended portions of love and excitement and mischief all rolled into one

Dear Roxanna,
Super pig to the rescue. (LOL) For not knowing what a wedding was to donning a mask and cape Pinky pig wised up in an awful hurry. Also pigs are anything but cute and cuddly. This may appeal to little girls but I think not to boys. Have you read the West Wind stories? There the animals talk but they deal with nature and not with human events. Somehow this seems much more satisfying and meaningful.

Oh yes sp is very smart :) . The story was written just for fun for my niece. She has been in all my books so had to do a story for her about the wedding. This would not be one I would publish, but maybe one day I will have it made into a little book just for her. :) thank u for your review. I have not read any of the west wind stories. Will have to look them up. And I disagree, pigs are very cute! :) thanks again. Rox

Pigs aren't cute if you had to feed and take care of them. I had to feed pigs on my uncle's farm and I think they are terrible animals, but they are good eating. (LOL)

I've heard they can be mean but sp would never be mean. :)

Good to see some writing from you and to know that Super Pig is still on the job. Nice little children's story...the only thing I would suggest is to rethink the cat who one minute is growling and the next has a mischievous grin. Seems to big a leap between emotional states to me. But hey, it's your pig. :) Dennis

Hi Roxanna,
What a cute little story for a children's book that you write so well. It's neat that you wrote it because your niece got married. It's a nice picture of her and the groom.

Roxanna: a very cute story. One can only imagine what goes on in the minds of the farm animals when there is an event different than they have ever seen. Your vision seems as rational as any. Good writing, enjoyable read. livelylinda

A good yarn for the young at heart, but best read aloud to children- the wording is quite grown up and rather smooth.
Excellent work.

Hi, Rox. So great to see another super pig installment! I love that you integrated our delightful heroine into your real-life experience. I think this makes a grand addition to all your other super pig stories, particularly because of the interaction between Pinky and Emily. Great job, my friend.
Hugs, Bev
