well done and executed

Hi Ann Marie,
Yes, if only all the lions, leopards and wolves of the world could lie down in peace with lambs and goats. Someday...
Thank you once again for such encouraging comments. I don't have anything active at the moment so I did not expect any reviews today and certainly not such delightful ones as you have graced me with. I appreciate the cheerful light you have brought into my world tonight. Thank you!!

w.j.debi, one of my favorite scriptures. Such a beautiful thought and one worth paying attention to. I also created a work many years ago based on this scripture and Revelations 21: 3-4 called Expectations.
The poetic form you have employed in this work works well with your message. Well done. Jls

Thank you for the encouraging review, Jls. I appreciate your kind comments and the inspiration you share.
I looked up the scripture and looked through your portfolio to try to find "Expectations" but gave up after getting to 2011.

Hey, you are so welcome. It was written a while back so I can understand if you don't know the different ways to navigate ports. I am humbled you wanted to read. I will send it in pm tomorrow, if you'd like. It's not as good as yours I most fear. Your work is beautiful.

I would love to read it, if you would be so kind. I'll bet it's better than you give it credit for. I look forward to seeing it. Debi

Hello again w.j. I am actually on my cell at the airport. If you go into a poets portfolio and scroll to the very bottom of the page you will see search portfolio. You click on it and it brings works up in alphabetical order. It might be easier than I trying to copy and pasted from a cell. You are kind. I just received your review on Maureen. Thank you friend.

Thank you for the information. I've wondered how to search by title so this will help a lot.
Have a great flight.

Thank you. Airports are tiring.

I have never tried this form but found your interpretation appealing. Thank you for the quotes from scriptures to provide additional context. I enjoyed your rhymes, "banquet" hyperbole and positive conclusion. Best wishes in the contest. Smiles- Joan

I've only been on the site for a little over a year now and am learning about all sorts of different forms and having fun trying them out. Who knew there was anything beyond the sonnet, quatrain and free verse? I didn't. Thank you for a detailed review. I appreciate the encouragement.. Debi

Very good.
Rhyming and stanza structure seemed to be correct for selected genre.
The selections of animal 'opposites' was very nice to illustrate the scripture concept.
Good job.

What beauty our eyes will witness, for we will see Him as He is, "eye has not seen nor ear heard the things that God has for those that love Him, and called according to His purpose", these words and the words the poem are inspired by in the verses written are wonderful, I commend dear friend for the encouragement you share with this fine poem, articulately written and shared, well done, blessings, Roy.

The cow and the bear in peace shall reside,
Feeding together on a banquet of straw.
A child will lead them to safely abide
Won't that be perfect peace......in heaven or here that will be marvelous
God bless

This is a well written Terza Rime, following the requirements for such a poem type. The words are good and reflect the bible story, especially that lovely picture of the lion and lamb lying together. Well done and Good Luck in the contest. Regards Dorothy x
