This is beautifully written. I think it has the makings of a sweet romantic poem for all ages. I wish you well in the contest. Using an acrostic was a good choice.

This one cries out the confidence of youth and just about guaranties you will break a heart or get yours broken wandering around with the idea that romantic love has more meaning than attraction. Look form companionship and you will be o a better success path.

Hi

You are so right - romance is sooooo 'underrated!' It's what makes the world go around.

Love the silhouette artwork. Nice touch.

Good luck in the contest.

Cheers & Blessings

I thought the poem itself depicts the prompt of romance quite nicely.

However, the one thing that stood out for me was the title. I'm not quite sure what 'Bodice Ripper' has to do with the poem.

My thoughts would be 'Embracing Love' or 'That Special Someone'. Those go with the message of the poem.

Just a thought, kiddo, so use or lose. I like the positive, quirkiness to it. (*-*)

A Bodice Ripper is a slang term for a Romance [novel]. I guess it isn't apparent enough that I'm poking fun at the genre. :) I'll work on it.

If you could work 'Bodice Ripper' into the poem itself, then it could work.

I like the term. Fits right into my genre, the old west.

I'm sure you'll work it out very well. Cheers
