You do a great job of showing how having a person to love adds to one's love of life. This poem has a positive tone, describing the narrator's love of life. Your line "but most times these butterflies went away again." That's the feeling that comes with a short-term love. You praise the long-lasting love and the individual who gives it to you. The picture you have chosen by Angelheart is truly a gorgeous piece of artwork.
The lyrics are fine but could be a little bit more descriptive and expressive in the feelings and emotions involved. Something more with a hook (Some more shorter phrase that captures the listener to the music {catchy tune} or the phase.
