Lovely poem honoring your little one gone too soon. We lost a brother when he was 6 wks old and I will never forget that or my Mother's pain.

I really believe it helps to write about the special person one has lost. When both my dogs died last year, I wrote about them and it comforted me a great deal. Lovely poem with good rhyming and imagery. Clear message of love. Faye

I also believe the same thing my friend. In just 3 months I lost Sophia, a brand new puppy and my best friend of 13 years, my Yorkie Sage! Been a rough year in 2013 for sure and yet somehow, I survived. xoxo

she's a cute. Nothing is as precious as a child. Looks as if the Lord had just made this little girl. Amazing how they can grow so fast. Blessings to all.

Hello Ben,
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about my Angel Sophia. She was taken back to Heaven much to soon at only 24 days old. She was misdiagnosed but could've had a normal healthy life if treated. xoxo

Beautiful and heartfelt tribute to a lovely angel that is constantly missed. Though you had her for such short a time, her impact on your life will last forever, just as He would want. I wish you the best of luck in this contest. AT=/

Oh Heidi, what a heartrending and beautifully written poem in memory of your lovely Granddaughter Sophia, it has good rhyme and proximate rhyme and a lovely rhythm and flow, but who cares? it's the content that is so important, I hope you and Sophia win this contest my friend.

Hi,
Such a beauty, and indeed an Angel. It's always hard to understand a little one leaving us before they've ever started on their journey.
Perhaps, her short journey in this life can be seen as 'love personified.' A blessing of appreciation of all that's pure and simple about love.
I remember reading about Sophia recently. Lovely dedication, Grandma.
Prayers to you and yours. Good luck in the contest.
Cheers & Blessings

I don't know that this is a poem for a child, but it was good. And so sad! It was well written with no weird areas or pauses. Good job, and good luck in the contest.

A-w-w-w-w... Have I misunderstood this, or did lil' baby Sophia pass away at 24 days old? If I have, I sincerely apologize. Yet, if I am right, then this is truly heartbreaking. No parent should have to outlive their own child. Whether it be complications from birth, killed in the service to their country, or felled by some dreaded disease, under any circumstances it just seems devastatingly unbearable to me.
Well done, and I wish you the best of luck in this contest.~Dean

Hello Dean....
Sadly yes baby Sophia passed away at only 24 days old. She was completely misdiagnosed by a Professor at The Children's Hospital with a major hole In aorta. Such a tragedy for us all. ;(

That's terrible, and so sad. Your family (it is your family, is it not?) will be in my family's prayers...

Hi,
This is so touching. It's just so unfortunate there is cause to write this. From previous marriages, my wife and I have both a lost a son ...hers at 33 years of age and mine at 22. Both died in vehicle accidents. Thus, we can identify, to some degree. The bright and uplifting ending was just perfect! Very nice, although poignant. Good work! Best to you,
Alan

This was such a heart breaking tragedy for us. Baby Sophia was our life but not many are lucky enough to meet their Angel. I was lucky enough to have held mine. xoxo

Yes, you were so fortunate. Best too you!
