This if fantastic it and even though it's about death it's not as scary as some of your poems. I will make sure no crows are on my window sill though.

I have to admit, this one gave me chills. How scary it would be to have to face the messnger of death. dying and knowing you are about to die are two very different scenarios. I love the fateful feeling to this. As always, you ake me on a frightful and suspenseful journey. Gretchen

Maybe you spirit animal is a bird. I have falcons, hawks and owls around my house and they are always making noise. I wonder sometimes if they aren't giving me a warning to change the direction of my life. Guess I'll never know. LOL

My time's run out... "A Dapper Crow of Blackest Coat" This is a most sensitive poem you have created here. Sensitive in the sense that some people still view the crow as a bird of death, that is the black crow. Well done Dean.

I liked your metaphor, for we all have seen death at our door, yet we do not have to agree that life will be no more.
You made me think that giving up is not always salvation; life is always better, even in a chaos nation.
I liked the pause in your story "We flew---" to where and when and to meet who?
As the poet writes about never going willingly into the dark night, you made me think that we must think about death's messenger and guide, but still we must avoid the ride, for Nature is the better way, and fighting to stay is the better day.
I love all of your writing, it inspires me.
I want to reach a higher level in my writing, but I have only been able to reach the doorway of dreams, and have not yet entered the room. I will sleep again, for I have seen the Devil, and I recognize his cloven hoof, and I will kill him.
