You describe the soul crushing effect of hard words very well here in this nonet.

I tend to eliminate those from my life to whom harsh words come easily.

Was engaged to a man like that once ... it was a short engagement. LOL

You're right. Negative attitude and/or words drag you down and can set the tone for the entire day. Solitude is definitely more pleasant if you can't find the positive people to surround you. Luck in the contest.
