Dawn, wish I had a six left - this really sums up a lot of the angst I also have been reading on the site. Am unsure why - thought this was for writers that wanted to share with each other and support in every way, not just a critique, but with knowledge. Thanks for putting this out there! Jean

Hey, my pleasure, dear friend - truly! LOL. All kidding aside, there really are some boors out there, and as difficult as it is, we ignore and persevere I guess - just occasionally we are driven to write about it, yes? LOL. Thanks so much for this great review.

conscious thought and the way we intend to use our words will always be abused by the few small-minded, whether on this site or else where... it may amuse their own need to inflate self-worth with the obvious void of integrity these folk lack... I say give em' enough rope and watch them dangle in obscurity... my thought on people that want to hurt others through the non-contact of written word are indeed just pathetic cowards that have no back-up when it comes to a real-life situations... but there is always a positive that comes out of such hurt... people such as yourself show their strength and integrity by bringing these miniature-minded writers to bare witness to their shortcomings as a human beings... an exceptional essay with an exceptional content... some people are just sad, angry people... they are ignorant, they know not what they do?

Amen to this. I personally have had only a few such experiences and that is either because the review came from a brand new standard member, or they have spewed forth their opinion without even being aware of the prompt. They don't stick around too long.

Dawn, I'm so glad you took the recent situation with a new writer and decided to craft this essay. I hope it will keep 'newbies' from getting turned off on this site as most of the folks fall into the classy category in my mind. To reviewers I say: If you are going to make comments, please check the attitude behind it which WILL come through whether you realize it or not. Since Fan is nothing more than a vanity site we reserve the right to abuse whom ever we please. He/she is a pompous arse!! There are a few about on here but not too many. Who the hell do they think they are to rip apart people's dreams. Thank you SO much, my friend - your support means a lot to me. Yesterday was the proverbial straw - I HAD to write this one. Imagine having the nerve to imply someone is a dog because you don't like something he/she wrote! (And in this case, I don't even think that WAS the case!)
