Your sartori works very well. Hidden in plain sight, the fact that nature's favorite game is camouflage as well as the little white bug hidden in plain sight. Great marriage of image and words.

Hi willowsong. This is a lovely little poem written in haiku style. I am grateful for the author's notes. Yes there are so many creatures that need to hide from their predators. Good luck.

Ah, that is so true! Camouflaged creatures are a wonder to behold. "hidden in plain sight" is a brilliant line in its contradiction. Good luck!

Beautiful photo and accompanying words. And an accurate description of nature. How often we miss so very much in front of our eyes because of nature's ability to 'hide in plain sight.' Much luck in the contest. AT=/

Truly nature is the best teacher ever. By closely watching nature we can learn many lessons from it. As you mentioned in the poem camouflage the natures game to protect itself from enemies. Wonderful poem. Keep it up.

I love the term, 'hidden in plain sight', which infers it's there if we LOOK, rather than just see.
I'm not sure flowers, such as your artwork, seek camouflage, as they require to be seen to be pollinised, for example.
Of course, it's different for animals in nature - many of whom need camouflage to avoid predators.
Interesting and well written.
Best wishes, Ray.

Thank you kindly for your generous review. Yes, it is true that flowers wish to be seen most avidly, hence their bright colors and pungent aromas. It was the white spider blending in with the plant to which I was referring to "seeking camouflage". Nonetheless, I appreciate your time in noting such and I shall add an additional note to clarify for other readers. Have a lovely day! :-)

Sorry, I didn't spot the spider, so it's doing a great job. :-)
Thanks for your gracious reply. Ray

Hehehe...no apologies necessary...thank you for doing such a great job as a reviewer and should you decide to take another look at it, keep your eye out for the spider ;-)

It is true that we tend to miss out a lot about nature unless we have a keen eye or a camera.
Some treasures are so well hidden we may need to overturn some stones to find them, smiles.
A great interactive poem with a good story to tell too.
Good luck to the contest.
Cheerio, hugs, Ritchie. :))

Thank you most graciously for taking the time to read my entry. It means a lot to me when others put time of themselves for another. I know you have done this because I haven't promoted the piece, yet you took the time to find it to read. The world would be a much better place with this quality offered more often. Cheers! :)
-
I thank you for the compliments and I shall say the same to you for taking the time to write it.
Yes, i have to agree. i have done so many unpromoted works that i have lost count. Smiles.
We are here to share and care and if we fail in that, we have failed insincerely of the right thing to do, especially when a great piece of work is skipped just because it is not promoted.
I will try to promote your artworks in my poems by using your artwork too, smiles. No promises, but i shall try, :)).
Cheerio, hugs and smiles, Ritchie. :))

Aww..wow! That's very kind and generous of you...even if you're not able to find a way to do so, the thought is quite genuine and appreciated...you made my day that much brighter :)
-
Big smiles. If there's a will, there's a way. You can also email me your artwork and i will write something about it. My email: phoonrichard@yahoo.com. Smiles.
Have a lovely Sunday.
Cheerio, hugs and luv, Ritchie. :))

Sounds grand! I love taking photos of nature, especially around my yard. I get a plethora of Mother Nature's creatures taking up residence every year :-)
-
Good. Send me some pics and i will try to write the story about them, smiles.
Cheerio, Ritchie. :))

Will do :-)

Thank you kindly for taking the time to read and review my piece. Your lovely words are a great encouragement for me. The hydrangea is my favorite flowering plant. That photo is of one I planted in my yard a few years back and I got lucky enough one day to eye the spider. I was so amazed at seeing this translucent & white spider blending in so nicely with the bush, I couldn't resist the photo opportunity. Pleased you enjoyed the wordplay to accompany the view. Cheers!
