Wouldn't it be nice to have a caring and understanding family. I finally quit speaking to my family 6 months ago and am so much more peaceful and happy. A well written chapter, my friend~Debbie

Thanks Debbie, hope you came in after I put up the stormcloud pic hehe. Yes, we are that way. My wife's parents insist on coming every fortnight. Goodness knows why...we talk about the same thing every time. recently they went away on a holiday and we had other things on we only saw them once in three months except for our 30th Anniversary and birthdays combined in March....with all our preferred friends along too hehe. Have we met before? Will try and look at your stuff. I believe in reciprocation.

Hi, I just changed this chapter a bit. I was gonna apply your suggestion around the humidity sentences but it would have made it too long. I don't like looooooooong sentences! Don't like real short ones neither. Have another look if you have time.

The revision is well written. I loved Tim LaHaye's book of the "The Four Temperament Types" I had to live around a lot of Choleric types though my life and I now avoid them when I can. My test in that book came out as mostly phlegmatic with a shade of Melancholy.

Interesting what you said about vertigo. I lived for 15 years in Wyoming which is high desert then moved to Florida which is tropical for a few years. Vertigo became one of several health issues I had there. When I left I had no more of it. I never thought of it being the climate.

Well as I said on the end discovered not so about climate have had attacks in warm and cool. Someone has suggested Vallium but Doc has me on Stematil and that is fine. I would be worried about Vallium causing b=me trouble with all my other meds. ThANKS FOR A GREAT REVIEW.
reply by seaglass on 11-Jul-2014
Mine ended when I returned to a dry climate and away from the tropics. It was awful feeling so off balanced.
reply by the author on 11-Jul-2014
Yeah well as I said I had thought it was our Heat and stuff then I still had attacks in the cooler time so I discounted climate being a factor. Maybe there could be something else to consider?? I know stress was the first thing I had that set it off. Long story for another time.

I am mostly Sparky Sanguine with a big bit of Melancholy that's the moods and music and creativeness and a tit bit of Choleric that's my bad temper some times. My wife is mostly phlegmatic (organised) and Melancholy she gets very emotional at times.

    My believes
    1. I?ve been a Christian since I was a Child and experienced a vision at age 14.
    2. I do not consider myself religious. I do not at this time affricate with any certain denomination. I attend different churches occasionally but worship from my heart wherever I am, including at home and in Nature.
    3. I have, over the years, attended a large number of different faiths as my life has been a bit nomadic. This included an in-depth study of each faith?s history, founder, doctrines, traditions, and practices.
    4. Although each may have been started with good intentions, I?ve found that all have ended up empowered by a need for control over their followers and the country, greed and self-righteousness.
    5. I?ve read the Bible through several times and have taken college courses from both religious and secular schools. I believe it?s a guide to Christianity but that much is also history and a recorded progress of man?s journey to Christ?s eventual teachings.
    6. I believe Jesus lined out Christianity in the sermon on the mount, with his parables, and his example. The intolerance and prejudice that has always plagued organized religion were not endorsed in any teaching if Christ.
    7. For me, being a believer, is to believe Christ came to earth to teach us how to live, lived it before us, and instructed us to do the same. I try to do that each day of my life, using the golden rule as my measure. I also ask myself, ?What would Jesus do?? when making a decision that affects others.
    8. I see God in nature, in people of all races and creeds. I see evil in people who oppress and judge.
    9. I see different faiths as more the same than different. It?s the focus on their differences that cause strife. I respect peoples rights to find their own spiritual paths, even those not considered Christian, God is their judge. But oppression to others by any religion , including Christian, is evil.
    10. Therefore, I believe that in our country, as the forefathers desired, Religion and State should be separate.
    11. The goal for each Christian, should be a life that reflects Christ in every act, word, and deed. When we fail we pray for forgiveness and do restitution to make right our mistake.
    12. The Christian life doesn?t conclude with a confession of faith but at the end of one?s life at the and of the journey.

Wow thanks for that. I see we agree on a lot of things. Thanks for sharing. I was 8 years old when my Mum led me to Christ after she too was saved in 1959. As you would have read I have been through a few churches and atm getting pretty disgusted with the Independent Baptist I have been involved with for more than 35 years. Christ is the answer the churches are not. I don't argue with people about stuff but I am glad to have met a lot of believers on FS. In know we won't agree on everything but it is God that judges us not ourselves. God Bless and appreciate your life story.

One of my favorite scriptures tell the story of Christ's disciples complaining to Jesus that there are other people preaching in his name that aren't part of their group.

He tells them to not worry about it, "If they are not against us, they are with us."

That's how I look at it.
reply by the author on 12-Jul-2014
AMEn for sure. Years ago I was a very very narrow Independent Baptist I am still with the same group but I have come to realise a lot of others are doing some great work without being in the same group and I have seen hypocrisy with in my own group as you would have read in some of my chapters. I read some more of dear old Mikey today. What a precious friend he is and glad I met both of you in here. I am seeing frustration from some FS'ers and I know at least one who quite recently. Just coming up a year here so maybe I have not been in here long enough to get completely ticked off...yet hehe! Cheers.
reply by seaglass on 12-Jul-2014
I think part of Christian maturity is becoming more tolerant. Can you imagine how small heaven's population would be if only one group is correct enough to get there? Kind of silly isn't it?

I've not heard of any dissatisfaction. I seldom enter contests, however, just work on my book. maybe that's why I don't know about it.

This is so very sad but true. People don't listen to you when you say something is wrong, and then when you get sick they say why didn't you say something. I am afraid that is a fact of life. Being avoided by friends and family is very regrettable indeed. You have my sympathies. Again my brother was the same. He went to several doctors saying something was wrong. They thought he just wanted a sick note and thought nothing was wrong with him. Then he had a stroke, developed cancer and caught MRSA in the hospital. I thought he was going to die, but luckily he survived. He is on the long term sick now. I just wish there was something I could do for him.

As we get older, our bodies change and everything seems to be going wrong with it. It is true what they say: old age is not for the weak of heart. Another fine chapter.

Vertigo is a manageable condition. It is good to know the condition has a name. It can be severe in most cases. There are many publications about this condition. Very insightful and descriptive. Nice job.

If you experience the room spinning, I can help you. I had the same thing... would come on suddenly, last a few hours, go away, come back the next day. I was afraid to drive anywhere after I got an attack on the road and had to pull over for twenty minutes.

THEN I found a cure. I was looking online for news about the condition, and I found a comment from someone who solved the problem with one tablet of Valium. I asked my doctor for a prescription, he gave it to me, and the next time I got dizzy I took a Valium. It stopped in five minutes and didn't return. Next day it started again, but a Valium stopped it at once.

I went to one of my other doctors, a specialist who had nothing to do with this area, and I told him about this miracle cure. He was so excited, because it turned out that his wife had been getting the same attacks for years, and nothing her doctors prescribed did anything to help. So, he did prescribe Valium for her. Next time I saw him, he greeted me with open arms. I thought he was going to hug me. Turns out the Valium worked for her just as well. They were so grateful that they sent me a fruit basket and a nice card. And that guy was a doctor and he knew nothing about the Valium treatment.

So try it. It worked for the woman who posted the comment, for me, and for a doctor's wife. Hopefully, it will work a miracle for you too. :)

Hi Phyllis, I am not sure about Vallium with all my other Meds. I do take Stemitil if I need to and it does work. Thanks for the great story appreciate your review.
reply by Phyllis Stewart on 11-Jul-2014
Valium is safe with everything, I think, unless you are on a different tranquilizer. It has no side effects for most people and may be a lot safer than the Stemitil you take. I never took that drug, but I did take some others that did not work and just made my mouth dry.
reply by the author on 11-Jul-2014
OK thanks I thin k I will stick with the Stematil my Doc is also a trained pharmacist so he knows what's best for me. Thanks anyway.
reply by Phyllis Stewart on 11-Jul-2014
If the Stematil has no side effects and you can use as much as you want/need, fine. Back when this happened to me it didn't exist. I should look it up.

Can only have a Max of 2 a day. I usually get by on one they make you drowsy but some days when I feel like a Dizzy is coming on and I take one it fixes it and I am ok for the rest of the day or even days after. Thanks again.
reply by Phyllis Stewart on 11-Jul-2014
SOunds like it solves the problem, and that's what matters. :)

Hi again are you an older person? I am 63. I did post on this to seaglass but I do remember the first time I had the vertigo attack was at a time of extreme stress involving loss of something and my father inlaw's overbearing controlling attitude.
reply by Phyllis Stewart on 11-Jul-2014
I'm a bit older than you are, but I don't have the problem anymore. This all happened when I was in my forties, and then after several years, it just disappeared.

All of the problems you have talked about are not imaginary problems by any means. It's very cruel for people to avoid you just because they think you only think you have problems. God loves you and so do I.

This is interesting to read, and you start off well with your problem with vertigo. You need to have more justification or introduction for your portion about the four temperament types. That is interesting information, but give some kind of lead-up to let the reader know you are onto another subject. Maybe you could have a title for the different topics you are writing about. In first paragraph, don't capitalize vomiting. judi Note: I had read this previously. I might add that I was experiencing vertigo for a time, but it seems to have cleared up. Maybe it was caused by some medicine I was taking. judi
