Your poem deserves credit for the content. It flows well, has good strong stanzas and I like the supporting picture, very good id that.

As a Scot myself. I reserve judgement on the subject. LOL

Lol Imogen we all have our own thoughts and I would never push mine on others. I just thought it would tie in nicely with July the 4th :). Thanks for reading and reviewing :). Nice to meet a fellow Scot. Jaq xx

Happy independence day. Here in Boston, we are celebrating it today which is the 3rd. We are anticipating the storm, tomorrow.
1776, a year that made it all. We are worthy of freedom. Freedom for all. A commanding yet humbling poem. Incredible insight and writing. Great job.

DanielEkine you are so right, we are all worthy of freedom. Let's hope the people of Scotland believe and have the guts the American people had to go for it. Thanks for your review :) Jaq xx

Hey there my dear friend, it is controversial. I did muck up a bit but it wasn't intentional. Many thanks for always helping me out. :) Jaq xxx

Good poem that completely forgets about the native americans that were slaughtered by the European invasion. They are no more!
"Your" land is just a little bit of an insult to them.
Other than that, great poem, and good luck with the referendum.

Do you really want Independence, Jaq?

If you lot want it, then good riddance (not to you personally my darlin).

Why would us sophisticated English want anything to do with you Jock savages? LOL. When the oil runs out, you'll come crawling back for forgiveness and support, just like Willy Wallace. Haha! Anyway, with all your friggin Scottish MPs in the English parliament, it's you lot who rule US.

I love your spirit, Jaq, and also that in general of the Jocks, even though most of you hate our angelic guts because of things our French ancestral Kings did. Mind you, Edward I ('the hammer of the scots' as he was nicknamed) was a great guy, and I often sit on the 'stone of schoon' (? spelling) he brought back from Jockland, when I'm in London. Haha. :-)

Oh, you'd also have to use haggis, bagpipes and kilts to trade, as Europe won't recognise your silly new currency. Tee-hee.

Cheers for now, Ray xx

LOL Ray you know you want to live here come the revolution. By the way it's nothing to do with hatred for the English and all to do with being sick fed up of Westminster. :) xx

Wonderful, rousing poem of the quest for freedom.

I also liked that we got a little history lesson, as well.

I did not know Scotland was not free from British rule. ( We'd be in the same boat as you (I think) except we were 3,000 miles away. lol )

Thank you for sharing your heritage with us. It was very interesting.

Good luck with the referendum!!

Well Jaq, I think the poem is quite brilliant
and a quaint way of saying 'Bugger the English'
we can manage on our own. And I suppose you
can, but for what reason would you wish it?
As for second class citizens, I don't see how.
Like the rest of us you have to push, push and
push again. I do love the poem though Jaq. Eric

Hi Eric, I have so many English relatives it's really not about you all. It is do do with freeing ourselves of the parasites in Westminster for me. Second class because of giving us the 'poll tax' a whole year before anywhere else and other reasons. I would love to be able to have self-determination, then we can only moan at ourselves if it all goes pear-shaped :).

Many thanks for your fine review my friend. :) Jaq x
