Congratulations on your contest win :-)
You set the stage well in your opening
her fists soldered to her hips, raised her eyebrows, smoldering eyes, gawking, a steely glint - excellent examples of non-verbal communication
great dialogue - I love the relationship they develop over this issue in just a few minutes
I've always thought there is nothing at all wrong in counting cards - it's just playing the game super well

Congratulations on your win in this contest - not as profitable as card-counting at vegas or Reno perhaps but thos member dollars in your account feel good all the same.
I enjoyed the way you crafted a fictional tale around the facts of this.

Yes, card counters aren't very popular at casinos. They increase their odds of winning a great deal. An excelent story with two well-defined characters, both flawed but basically good people. Well done. :) nancy

Counting has been checked in many different ways, but cannot be eradicated. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words. Congratulations on your win.

Very good and interesting story. Not sure if I buy into the casino worker letting the gambler off the hook but who knows it could happen. It's a better resolution than turning her in and as she said for a paltry amount of money. This story held my interest and I loved the dialogue. Good job.

Very well done. I think I remember a movie where a group of college kids use this technique to win in blackjack, which I think is adapted from a true story.

I thought it was interesting how you contrasted the women against each other. One was beautiful and the other kept describing herself with unattractive qualities. The story was good and makes it seem plausible that two women at cross purposes could become friends.

I love the story. I love the picture. Annette was right. She was doing nothing illegal. But she was doing something the casinos do not like. Heidi could turn her in, but she would not get much credit for it. Heidi did the right think for herself and Annette. Great work. Good luck with the contest.
