Good point a play on my words hehe I am glad I never got hooked on alcohol. My father loved his home brew. (Beer)I think that might have contributed to his initial major stroke...too much sugar!

Great short story about giving hugs. Great picture for this writing. I completely agree, I still give my sons hugs in public and one is 54 years old.

I grew up in a loving home where love was expressed frequently. Mom always tucked us in with a kiss, hug and a prayer. I knew I was one of the five apples of my dad's eye. Good piece. God loves you and so do I.

Praise the Lord for a great family upbringing.You and I know too many cases where, sadly, the kids are not brought up properly and the hugs might come with strings attached huh! God Bless and thanks for the review.

I enjoyed and concur with all your theory on affection Geoff, I think it seems difficult for a lot of men to be affectionate with their children, particularly with their sons! In some cultures men kiss men on the lips! My parents weren't affectionate, but I think that was more that generation than by design! I praised ( and still do) my girls, and was affectionate because it gives them self esteem, I enjoyed your write, Geoff, I agree with you.blessings, Roy.

I enjoyed and concur with all your theory on affection Geoff, I think it seems difficult for a lot of men to be affectionate with their children, particularly with their sons! In some cultures men kiss men on the lips! My parents weren't affectionate, but I think that was more that generation than by design! I praised ( and still do) my girls, and was affectionate because it gives them self esteem, I enjoyed your write, Geoff, I agree with you.blessings, Roy.

Open displays of affection, I think do not necessarily correlate to real feelings. I have trouble doing it, but think it has to do with being raised by two people who, while professing affection, so abused tier boys. I aim glad for you. And envious(;^-)

Hi new friend have not seen you before. I do know some show affection by their deeds and I guess depending on personalities maybe the deeds are as acceptable as the physical affection. Thanks very much have to look for your stuff.
