What a lovely visual of a blind man dancing with a girl in a wheelchair.
I am a fan of So You Think You Can Dance. They sometimes have guest dancers perform, and I have seen beautiful performances by dancers in wheel chairs. You brought back those memories.
Excellent dialogue, and you deliver a great message :-) Brooke

You know, some able bodied people said they didn't think everyone could dance, but you and I know better. Thanks.

This is a wonderful 'feel good' contest story. You show the value of using your word to set the stage, while allowing your readers to fill in the missing details form their personal knowledge and expectations.
This story is a real winner!

Thank you. I don't think I've ever received a six star review for a work this short, but I am honoured and humbled.

I usually wouldn't give six stars for something this short, but you deserved it.

This is a beautifully conceived story of music and imagination overcoming limitation and fear. Well written. Good luck in the competition.

Very touching entry. I don't know if this is a true story and if it's not you have a creative imagination to come up with such a lovely story. Well done.

Thank you for your kind words. Yes, this is fiction, inspired by the Paralympics--watching people achieve greatness in spite of their own aspirations--not to accept barriers.

This was beautiful. It wasn't until the end when it all tied together that it pulled at the heart strings! Well written. Nice and concise with no extra words not needed in a 100 word story limitation.

Excellent story. I loved the way it built up until the end. The ending was wonderful. You created so much empathy for the people involved and then ended on a positive note.

The disable have taught those of us without challenges how to enjoy life. As a friend once told me who had severe issues, but was always in a good mood, you play the cards you're dealt. Thanks for reading.

This is a very nice story of one of those moments when the self-imposed limitations that are put on people meet the courage to step forward.

Yes, even someone with two healthy legs swore she couldn't dance. My attitude is--if you think you can't or you think you can--you're right--self fulfilled attitude. Thanks.

Clever twist at the end with the girl being in a wheelchair - and still being able to dance thanks to the blind instructor's magic and encouragement.
VERY uplifting read.
Good luck and best wishes, Ted

If wheelchair bound people can play basketball, they can dance. Thanks.
-
True.
Mind you, I can't dance OR play basketball, and I'm not disabled.
I put it down to age and lack of natural rhythm on my part. :-)
Cheers, Ted

To be honest, everyone cant really dance. Some people dance really bad because they are not in sync with their bodies. A good short piece.

Of course they can. Perhaps badly by some people's standards, but they can still move to music and sway with the rhythm. If a person allows themselves to feel the music and react physically, they are dancing. Thanks.
