Adorable artwork for this poem, which is in excellent 5/7/5 syllable count for the contest
Great use of consonant hard C sounds in all three lines
fun play on words with "prick" in its literal and figurative meanings LOL
Brooke :-)

I love the picture. Hedgehogs look cute but not cuddly. The poem is right. They are pricks. Hedgehogs are cute enough to get them in the door. Their spines keep from kicking the out the door. Great work.

I thinks its clever...but I don't like the prick. I actually looked for another word to replace it...but your right...that's the nicest word you could use for a bad boss. Keep it like it is.

So we have a genuine 5/7/5 and a cute picture of a hedge hog. What you gonna do? Say five stars and let the little prick alone.

I think most 'king-pins' are pricks, smothered in their own self-importance, and lacking in feelings or compassion for their 'lessers', so I think your double-meaning is spot on.
Good luck and best wishes, Ted
